National Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with mental and substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives.
The 2021 National Recovery Month theme, “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,” reminds people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery.
Join Harbor House, Inc., the Region #5 Prevention Provider, in celebrating National Recovery Month with our 7th Annual Race for Recovery 5k and 1 mile fun run. The race will be on Saturday, September 18th at Ben Geren Park in Fort Smith. The race will kickoff at 8am and will have post-race activities! Music, children’s activities, community agency booths, and a bounce house will all be there!
