This event is celebrating the life of Dr. Eric J. Stein. He adored his family. He was an outstanding optometrist who truly enjoyed treating his patients. He was a champion for the elderly, and for pets- especially dogs. He was an ambassador of cheer, humor, and encouragement everywhere he went, a courageous advocate for the less fortunate, a passionate Board member for Project Compassion, and a loyal, life-long friend to those lucky enough to know him. He also loved Hearts of Gold! Come out, have fun, and help us celebrate a life well lived. The Stein family is grateful for all who support this event in honor of Eric and ask everyone to remember residents in long term care at the holidays and everyday.

September 11th of 2001 is a day that changed America for all of us. A day that changed how we as Americans live our daily lives, even today 20 years later. However, the greatest impact of this day was one of loss and sacrifice. Join us on an evening run with the opportunity to reflect on those lives we lost on that tragic day. A Run of Remembrance will be just that, a 9.11k (with a 5k option) on the secluded streets of the Chaffee Crossing area. After the run enjoy a cold beverage and good socialization. The run will be held during the community event “We Remember: A 9/11 Commemoration”. Enjoy an evening full of community as we take time to remember what we have lost and how far we have come.
The race will begin at 7316 Buckhorn St. in Barling, AR 72923. The event will be from 5-8, and the race will kickoff at 6pm. Both the 9.11k and the 5k will be $30.
